Kentucky Agency For Substance Abuse Policy
The Kentucky Agency for Substance Abuse Policy Northern Kentucky Board (KY-ASAP) has been in existence since 2002. State-wide the goal is to promote the reduction of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs through the implementation of comprehensive research based strategies. The Board works with the Regional Prevention Coalition to gain equitable funding mechanisms for mental health and substance abuse in the region.

“A Commonwealth of healthy communities, free of alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse and related consequences."
Mission Statement:
“To develop and oversee implementation of a long term community strategy that is designed to reduce youth and adult tobacco use, alcohol, tobacco and other drug addiction; to promote resistance to the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs; and to promote effective treatment."

NKY-ASAP Board meets every second Thursday of the month at 2:30

The Mental Health and Substance Abuse Awareness Committee meets
every 4th Wednesday of the month at noon, MHA of NKY, 513 Madison
Ave., 3rd Floor, Covington, with the Annual Planning Meeting to be held in
January.
People Advocating Recovery NKY meets every 3rd Wednesday of the
month at 6:00 pm, MHA of NKY, 513 Madison Ave., 3rd Floor, Covington.
